It is quite clear that the Ultrabook platform massively supported and pushed by Intel has been inspired by the MacBook Air. This time Intel seems to be looking at the Mac mini and the Apple TV:

As shown on the photo, this prototype named NUC, for Next Unit of Computing, is rather small (as small as the Apple TV?) but aims to be a Mac mini-like unit. In such size format, Intel will install a mobile Ivy Bridge CPU, associated to 2 memory slots, and to add storage capacity and functionalities, 2 PCI-Expres 1x. The only external port will be the Thunderbolt.
With such platform becoming available, Apple might soon release a Mac nano...
