With the high publicized Flashback malware infection affecting about half a million Macs worldwide (to put back into perspective that Apple has been shipping around 2-3 millions new Mac units each quarter over past years, without counting the existing base), several computer and internet security companies have been developing free solution to scan and remove the malware from infected computer. As announced yesterday, Apple is working on a solution, but while waiting for its availability, third-party options are available:
