Three weeks ago, it was already difficult to find a 2 TB Time Capsule in shops or on the Apple Store, and it does not seem to improve. Current stocks, worldwide, are extremely low and most likely linked to the availability of 2 TB HD. Apple is probably having problems to secure enough 2 TB HD at a reasonable price, so it can manufacture Time Capsule without impacting too strongly its margins. In addition, the (artificial?) lack of HD worldwide, their prices went up and the Time capsule would become a rather cheap device considering its 2 TB storage space and wireless support...
When Apple will upgrade the time Capsule models we could see a significant price increase, as the company might want to implement the potential variation of HD prices for over hte coming moths.
