Over its history of Apple, employees have had discount on products produced by their company, and this is true in many corporates. Up to now, it was a 25% discount once a year on Apple systems, with the exception in 2007 after the launch of the iPhone 1G, all Apple employees received a 8GB unit.
Today, Tom Cook announced to his team, that they will be granted $500 off on Macs (with the exception of the Mac mini) and $250 off on iPads. This is a rather nice gesture, especially considering the number of employees at Apple, not only at the corporate, but also in retail stores; their numbers growing everyday.
