Kodak announced today to have filed for Bankruptcy Protection in New York State early Thursday morning. This long-history company, famous for its film and camera never really succeeded the transition from film camera to digital camera. Thanks to this business and legal protection, the company expects to be able to re-organize its activities to be back as a sustainable enterprise in 2013.
One path recently followed by the company is to better manage its patent portfolio. It includes selling licenses but also launching lawsuit against other companies, including Apple and Samsung.
