According to Macotakar, quoting reliable sources, Apple would be preparing a special Event for early February to launch the iPad 3, together with the release of iOS 5.1. =however, the iPad 3 should only ship in March after teh Chinese New Year break.
As a reminder, the main new feature of the iPad 3 would be
- its HD display with 2560x1600
- a quad-core ARM CPU
- new battery with higher capacity
According to some rumor, the iPad 2 might remain available on the catalog, but its price might be cut to avoid losing marketshares due to the higher price tag when compared with competitors, such as the Kindle Fire.
So, in only 2-3 weeks we will know if it was a rumor or a news.
