While most TV manufacturers are heavily betting on OLED technology, Sony being one of the pioneer in the field, the company is now pushing in another direction. Does it mean that OLED did not deliver what was Sony expecting? So, here comes the Crystal LED.

This TV set is a true LED TV. Each pixel is a LED composed of 3 sub-LED, one for each color of the RGB profile. So it becomes possible to fully control the intensity of each pixel as on a OLED TV, or a Plasma, giving then access to true deep black background. The view angle is excellent, with 180°.
Last but not least, the power consumption is also a key feature, a 55" Crystal LED would drain "only" 72 W.
