MSI unveiled at the CES an external enclosure using a Thunderbolt connection and hosting a graphic card.

In theory, if a driver was developed for Mac OS X; this device could work on a MacBook 13" or a MacBook Air, and would allow such models to have much higher graphical performance when used on a desk with or without an external display. This enclosure is able to host any type of graphic card NVidia or AMD as long as the power consumption is lower than 150W. The second limitation is coming from the PCI-Express 2.0 4x, as graphic cards are usually installed on a 16x connector on the motherboard.
