Toshiba unveils its own 2.5" 1 TB disk on two platters

After Samsung and Western Digital, Toshiba unveiled its new line of 2.5" hard drives featuring 500 GB platters, spinning at 5,400 rpm, just like the other models already available from Samsung and WD.
Mass production should start in this month and the disks should hit the market before September. With three manufacturers on that segment of the market, we can hope for a rapid decrease in price, so these high capacities can be installed in laptops.
