Barefeats tested numerous hard drives and SSDs in a 2011 MacBook Pro. As we have seen for a long time now, the performances of Apple's recent SSDs are, given their price, under what one could expect.
As a reminder: OWC SSD are running on a SandForce controller.
In the list, only the C300 is compatible with SATA III
It might be for that reason that Apple supports TRIM only on Apple SSDs, to reduce the gap in performances....
