As it now seems clear that Apple is looking with great interest at CPU offers from AMD, it is also time for us to follow even more carefully at AMD roadmap. Among coming CPUs, the Bulldozer is dedicated to desktop computers and its specifications are very interesting. It should arrive for Q2 2011, and will be available with 8, 6 or 4 cores, associated to a true embedded GPU. The clock speed should be around 3.5 GHz, and a Intel TurboBoost-like more will also be available to add an additional 500 MHz to the original frequency, so 4 GHz in total, something that we did not see since the end of the Pentium IV. So, next year, Intel will have to face a serious competition with new CPU models from AMD.
