When Microsoft innovates, they make sure that everybody knows about it. They put a lot of work in their new Xbox 360 controller called Kinect, which was previously known as Project Natal.

As a reminder, Kinect is a controller that allows users to play games without haven to hold anything in the hands, they can just move in front of the controller.
According to Microsoft, they put a lot of work in this project, on the hardware as well as the software and claim that anyone that would be interested in copying their system would probably fail at doing so, because the software is too advanced to be copied. Even by performing static code analysis, they would still have trouble grasping all the subtleties of the interface.
it is not the first time that we see Microsoft boasting, but it is the first time they appear so confident about their lead in a field. We'll see in November if Kinect is that revolutionary.
