This update is recommended for all 15 and 17 inch MacBook Pro computers dated mi-2010. It corrects a rare problem involving the blocking or the intermittent stoping of the system during its operation. It improves also compatibility with external screens.
The EFI update acts on the internal EFI program of your MacBook Pro. The power cable of your computer must be connected to the supply during this operation. When the computer starts again, a gray screen appears and a bar indicates the progression of the update. This operation takes several minutes to be completed. Do not disconnect and do not turn-off your MacBook Pro during this update.
