On the website http://video.online.hk/watch/20717 you can see a video showing a bumper-like accessory that add the phone functionality to the iPod Touch... which almost turns it into an iPhone.
The voice in the video describes rapidly the device: a bumper in which you put a SIM card, the iPod Touch gets in, and the phone is ready to use. The manufacturer is hoping to start selling the device in the next few weeks. In China, an iPhone 3GS costs 5.000RMB, while the iPod Touch costs 1600RMB. Adding 450-500RMB for the phone/bumper is therefore a good solution for users who want to use their iPod Touch as a phone.
This device could open new opportunities for iPod Touch users, even if Apple is probably not going to like it.
