In the beginning, the media and engravers BDXL of 100 and 128 GB on 3 or 4 layers were initially only for the professional market. Sharp has decided differently and announced the first reader-engraver that will be compatible with these media aimed for the general public. From July 31 they will be on sale in Japan as well as 3 layer discs of 100 GB (the 4 layer will arrive later).

The price of the device and the virgin media is not known, but they certainly will not be cheap..
