Macworld has compared the battery life of the 3G and 3GS iPhones running under iOS 3.1.3 and iOS 4. For this, they subjected the same mobiles to a test combining all the uses, of the communication while passing by downloading, games, and to finish the read back of films,all in all a very intensive test.
- In the case of the iPhone 3G, it held 10 minutes more, passing from 200 to 210 minutes.
- For the 3GS, the gain is more significant since it passed from a battery life of 247 to 282 minutes.
This test goes against the impressions reported by many users of old models of the iPhone. The new operating system, at least in intensive use, does not have a negative impact on the battery lifetime, but in reality the opposite.
