With Windows Phone 7 that must be released in the next few months, Microsoft will play its ultimate card to try to have or rather to remake a place on the market of the OS for mobile phone.
If one looks at the way in which things have happened, it is now inconceivable to expect a big uptake without having a large catalogue of applications on offer,a field where Apple has become the uncontested king.
Microsoft has decided to go to find the talents in their usual habitat, ie as developers at the AppStore. According to PocketGamer.biz they have started to contact the developers that have success at the AppStore and offer a financial aid to them to port their software to run under Windows Phone 7. In addition to money, Microsoft would place at their disposal their resources to facilitate the portage of C++ to Objective C. Lets meet again in a few months to find out if they have a return on their investment.
