Macworld has extensively tested the MacBook Pro Core i5 2,4 GHz, the entry level model, based on real usage conditions with different applications, giving good information on performance when compared to previous models.

Beside the test with Parallels, which does not seem optimized for Core i5, and the export function for iMovie, the new MacBook Pro model is faster than the previous 2.8 GH Core 2 Duo model, if differences are not huge, the new entry level is compared to the previous high-end.
