Toshiba announced that they are close to marketing a 2,5" from 750 G hard drive. This disk beats records of density since the disc has at this capacity using only two platters, which allows it to be only 9,5mm thick and thus to be compatible with all SATA portables of Apple contrary to the other models of the same capacity (or a capacity of 1 TB) which fit only in the Unibody machines.
Outre sa capacité et sa finesse, le MK7559GSXP ne se démarque pas réellement du lot, tournant à 5400 T/min et embarquant 8 Mo de cache.
Pour finir notez que Toshiba a aussi annoncé un disque de 1 To, mais en 12,5mm d'épaisseur avec 3 plateaux.
