After having prohibited all that could in any way being considered as software with some sexual connotation, Apple is now attacking with a new segment.
They withdrew, without warning, all the software which used an undocumented API iniPhone SDK that made it possible to locate the Wi-Fi networks. Among this software one finds some that seek out all the networks and displays them in the form of a list with their security or not, and also others where this function was only an accessory. For example the case of the reality software Sekai Camera. This uses the GPS for localisation, but can also call upon the localization of the Wi-Fi networks to refine its position or to take over in places where GPS reception is poor.
On a purely contractual point of view, Apple is correct. It is however a pity that they waited for such a long time for for closing this down and that they feel the need to attack on this front that in reality did not have any consequences in the majority of the cases.
