Sandy Bridge Will Be 22% Smaller than Current Architecture

Intel is slowly unveiling details of its future mobile architecture, Sandy Bridge, planned to be released next year to take over current Core ix. We already know that the new generation will be 20% faster than the current architecture, and the integrated graphical chipset will delivers up to twice the performance of the current unit integrated in Core ix. 
Now Intel announces that the GPU and its graphical core will be 22% smaller than a current mobile Core ix chips. This is possible as the integrated chips will be integrated in the CPU and engraved at 32 nm. The release data of this new architecture is expected for Q1 2011.
