The good news is that Photoshop has been entirely rewritten and is now in 64 bits, giving it access to more RAM and probably dramatically increasing speed on our Mac Pro or other powerful iMac models.
While all details and information look very positive, we think that this "accidental leak" has been organized by Adobe in order to light up a counter fire after the recent criticism made by Steve Jobs during the iPad Special Event as well as the internal notes we reported. Those information about CS5 fit with many expectations and aim to make criticisms less striking on Adobe CS4 (no 64-bits, no Cocoa, etc.). This could also be a way for Adobe to demonstrate its involvement to support its solutions on Mac OS X, instead of choosing a frontal opposition with Steve Jobs and Apple.
However, Phostoshop CS5 in 64-bits might well be only the top of the iceberg, it remains unclear if re-encoding to 64-bits as well as Cocoa library has been applied to the entire applications being part of CS5...
