The new Apple iPad will for sure generate a lot of "Made for iPad" peripherals and accessories, from Apple itself and third-parties. Let's have a look at Apple products first:
- the iPad Keyboard Connector, a dock featuring a integrated keyboard, or a keyboard including an integrated docking stand
- iPod camera Connection Kit, 2 modules, one dock-USB and the other one dock-SD card reader. So, you could either move photos from your computer or directly plug our SD card into the iPad adaptor.
- iPad case, a plastic-based protection with pre-defined hinges for special purposes: your iPad can stand vertically or horizontally.
The last position is clearly interesting has it would allow users to type one the device without necessarily having his legs on the sofa, or on the table as often shown in the video for demoing of the device. It solves the mission of holding the device while typing a text on it. It could be the smartest peripherals except if you want to to type on the docking keyboard.
Last but not least, Apple or any third-party could develop an iPad case, featuring a touch-sensitive keyboard that would be directly connected via the dock port to the iPad.
