Supertalent announced a new range of SSD intended for the professional markets, data servers at the head.

These discs use the new rising star of controllers for 2010, the Sandforce SF-1500. This controller is much superior to the Barefoot, the ex star of the SSD and supports up to 30.000 inputs/outputs a second in reading and writing. It also allows an increased security of the data thanks to improved ECC control and supports a system similar to an internal RAID 5 to be as certain as possible as the written data will be recoverable even in the event of a breakdown of memory cells. To finish it manages a system of data compression in writing so that allows it to reach the 250 MB/s in reading as well as for writing.
The discs of Supertalent will be available in 50 and 100 GB with SLC memory and 50,100 and 200 GB with MLC memory. However they will actually contain more memory than the announced capacities. The 200 GB will be equipped with it with 256 GB, the 56 GB extra being used for redundancy and parity checks.
Supertalent has not announced the prices for these products but the professional label makes us fear the worst.
