The rumor was indicating that Apple would release a famous Mac Tablet early 2010. According to Digitimes, it could well be postponed till H2 2010 (meaning its availability, not necessarily its announcement). The reason seems to be linked to recent decision from Apple to change some components. n fact 2 models could be unveiled, one with a 9.7" OLED display manufactured by LG (it should remind you the partnership signed between both companies earlier this year), while the second model will feature a larger 10.6" display but based on a classical LCD panel.
Beside the size of the display, the difference will be the price. The 10.6" unit should be around 800 to 1,000 USD, while the OLED 9.7" model, considering that the panel itself costs 500 USD, should be priced around 1,200 to 1,500 USD. For such price for a tablet, it better delivers great performance and be linked to a huge service, not necessarily linked to the AppStore as it would on the long-term limit Apple's products expansion.
