The first 2.5" 512 GB SSD is here

The first  2,5" 512 GB SSD has arrived on the Japanese stalls. It is a Supertalent ultradrive DX with a quoted data flow of 230 MB/s for reading and 180 MB/s for writing.

One of the arguments against the SSD, their low capacity, has thus fallen. They have almost caught up with the largest discs 2,5" who are available in 9,5 mm at 640 GB. It still will be necessary to wait concerning the price. This SSD is offered at the prohibitive price for most of the population at almost 1350€!
