Apple Wants to Fight Against iPhone ailbreak

by linathael . Original by Lionel - 06/11/2009 00:05:00 CET - Source: Mirror.co.uk

With the release of the first iPhone model and the exclusive partnership strategy followed by Apple, jailbreaking has been an issue for Apple. While the company was to carefully control application and content available on the iPhone, jailbreak opens the device to additional non supported/validated application, but also to potentially install trojan or malware that could lead to compromise the work of Apple and developers.
Almost the same day than Geohot announced to have found a way to bypass the last protection released by Apple, the company published an opened position with really clear job description: iPhone OS Platform Security Manager.
While Apple is looking for a talented security expert, it might have been easier, cheaper and more efficient to recruit among hackers who have spent time and energy to bypass Apple's protections installed on the iPhone OS.
