The Beatles in digital, but not online

By crispin. Original by Lionel - 05/11/2009 06:00:00 CET - Category: iPod

The  Thebeatles.com site markets the complete remasterized albums of the groups in the form of an apple-shaped USB key.

With a capacity of 16 GB, this key contains the 14 albums as well a bonus of the image of the CD boxes already on sale. The pieces will be offered in MP3 320 and in FLAC. It will be limited to 30.000 specimens and will be sold $279,99; this is a price higher than the boxes CD.

Apple and EMI thus want to continue to help themselves for another time from the enormous basket represented by the musical catalogue of Beatles. Note, it is likely that they will manage in a few years to propose a new still better remasterisation, in stereophony 3D 14:1 on RFID chip.
To end this story, they continue to refuse to be present on the iTunes Store because Apple does not want to accept to only offer to sell the complete albums.
