Jailbreak for iPhone OS 3.1.2 available

Shortly after the announcement of Blackra1n by Geohot, it is with the turn of dev team to announce the Pwnage Tool in version 3.1.4 which makes it possible to generate a personalized firmware (and jailbroken of course) for your iPhone. The jailbreak functions with iPhone OS 3.1.2 on all the models iPhone (v1, 3G and 3GS) as on the iPod Touch except v3.

Let us remind jailbreaking  is not the same as de-simlock! Indeed, the de-simlock is not yet available on the iPhone 3.1.2 and solutions such as ultrasn0w do not work. Of course if your iPhone is officially de-simlocked it remains it.

PS: Think of backing up your iPhone before carrying out the jailbreak, in the event of problem you will be able to then restore your iPhone with the official firmware without loss of data!
