After OCZ, Supertalent also unveiled the new version of its PCI Express SSD, aka RAIDDrive V2.0.
This product dedicated to a PCI Express 2.0 8x slot, features an ultra-fast RAID controller (), 512 MB of cache and storage space is either SLC or MLC depending on models.
Supertalent offers 3 series. The first one is dedicated to the consumer electronics market and is based on MLC chips. The second one is targeting Pro users with SLC memory chips. The last series is for specific purpose and feature a battery. All 3 series will have storage capacity ranging from 192 GB to 1 TB.
The maximum performance levels are 1.2 GB/s and 1.4 GB/s, respectively in writing and reading mode. Only the price of the 1 TB SSD or the consumer electronics market is known: 4999 USD. Pro models will most likely cost twice or three time more.
