iPod Touch: As We Reported Camera, 802.11n and FM Were Planned

After the new ipod nano iFixit disassembled the new iPod Touch and their findings confirm our exclusive initial report on a last-minute change for the iPod Touch. 

The wireless network chips is a Broadcom BCM4329FKUBG, a more recent model than the one found in the iPhone 3GS, as it supports 802.11n network. However, this would require a software update to take advantage of this component. In addition, other components would bring support for FM radio receiver and Bluetooth. Apple seems to have decided to NOT activate those features on the iPod Touch.
