After staunchly refusing to offer SLI on anything other than its own chipsets, Nvidia just changed its mind and authorised its activation on motherboards using the Intel P55 chipset. It is thus possible to theorise on the arrival of SLI in the next generation of Apple products using this chipset (currently the Mac Pro).
We are curious to know what Nvidia has obtained from Intel in exchange for this concession, perhaps formal authorisation to be able to use licenses relating to the Nehalem processors.
