While its competitors announced new products recently, Hitachi fired back with its new 7K2000 series.
With storage capacity up to 2 TB, those 3.5" HD models are the first ones to spin at 7200 rpm. They sport 32 MB of cache (64 MB would have been better), and should drain 10% less power than the models from the previous series. Unfortunately, prices remain unknown.
