Intel puts another layer in place against its competitors...

few days ago we reported about the charges of Nvidia concerning the business practices of Intel who seemed to do everything to block the way with its competitor.
New information prove that this attitude is not an isolated case. As we have already reported, Intel (like Microsoft) segment the markets artificially in order to create several ranges equipped with more or less expensive components. Thus, Intel prohibited with the manufacturers of portables to offer machines equipped with an Atom CPU if the diagonal of its screen exceeds the 10,1". Above this limit it is necessary to use a Core 2 Duo processor that is much more expensive.
Samsung and Lenovo have already suffered from this policy after wanting to propose Atom portables with diagonals of 11,6 and 12". Intel would have told them that these Atom processors have a higher cost. Alas for Nvidia, these two machines were to also to include a 9400M (ION).
There are now little chance that these machines are put on the market if their price brings them closer to too many machines equipped with more powerful processors.

But this is clearly what Intel wants, isn't it?
