No SSD by Seagate before 2010!?

According to The Register quoting sources close to investment banking, Seagate might not be able to offer SSD models before end of 2010, or even 2011 due to issues in the development process. This information comes by surprise, as the company announced earlier it expected to release Pro-oriented models in 2010, however first samples should not arrive before the end of the year.

Previous Seagate CEO was kicked out for not having seen the potential of SSD, and the new one seems to have problem to bring the company on track to offer such products to customers. During this time, other manufacturer such as Samsung, Intel or OCZ are gaining experience and market shares, securing technologies thanks to patents and developing already second generation of SSDs.
