To promote its internet browser and try to capture market shares, Microsoft Australia has designed an online investigation game with a 10,000 AUS price (around 5,700 Euro) for the winner. However, to be able to play you need to use Internet Explorer 8. Hereafter is the same page of this online game, loaded with Explorer 8 on the lest, and Safari 4 on the right:

Yep, it does not look the same, but if you really want to play this game, while remaining on Safari 4, you can simply modify the browser agent to make it recognize as Explorer 8:
![]()
Et voila! You simply need to activate the development mode of Safari by entering the following command line in your terminal before launching Safari:
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
It is somehow crazy that Microsoft has to organize such games to convince people to use its internet browser. It is of course easier than developing a new great looking, features loaded and innovative browser.
