Apple posted some details about Snow Leopard, the minimal specifications are as follows:
- Mac equipped with an Intel processor 1 GB of RAM, 5 GB of disk space and a DVD reader for the installation.
- H.264 acceleration of QuickTime will require a mac equipped a 9400M chip.
- Open CL will require a Geforce 8600M WP, 8800GT, 9400M, 9600M WP, GT120, GT130 or Radeon HD 4850/4870.
- Of course supports of 64 bits will only be possible with the 64 bits CPUs.
It will be possible to have the Snow Leopad update for 8,95 Euros if you buy new Mac since its annoucement. If you have Leopard, it will be necessary to buy the update for $29.95. For those who have Tiger, it will be necessary to buy Mac Box Set containing Snow Leopard, iLife, Keynote… Clearly it will not be sold singularly.
