The recent update of the White MacBook by Apple, adding a faster CPU, a larger HD, etc. has created distortion in the MacBook offer. Indeed, the new White MacBook, the cheapest, and tagged as entry-level for MacBook, is a faster notebook than the mid-range Unibody MacBook. This is illustrated by data published by Macworld:

The White MacBook is not faster in only one test, it is overtaking the mid-range Unibody model in all test, so it raises the question of paying 250 € more for having an Alu enclosure, but slower and FireWire-less notebook model?
