We have received several reports from users, but also from resellers, indicating that the MacBook Pro 17'' while being officially released, since months, is not available. In one of those messages, an certified Apple reseller indicated that despite having dozen of units already ordered, the did not receive any shipment from the usual european distributors (ingram, tech data, Actebis). Even on the Apple Store, the MBP 17" is available with some delay.
So, there are two options: either Apple is having problems to get all components involved in manufacturing this high-end MBP, or there is an issue with quality, manufacturing or a component that made the company deciding to delay all shipments till the problem is fixed.
