After recent announcement of a legal action launched by Intel against Globalfoundries, AMD strikes back claiming that Intel is trying to destroy its main competitor. Intel strongly denied these accusations. AMD is clearly in the firing line as its collapse would leave Intel in an even larger monopoly position on the computer-dedicated CPU market. But then in the USA, the anti-trust law would force Intel to be split into several entities.
However, Intel is frequently gets on AMD's nerves, and will definitely not deliberately kill off its main competitor, but will simply act to make its business life as hard as possible, without putting its integrity in danger; Intel does not intend to shoot itself in the foot.
