If Apple decided not to celebrate this event, one should not forget that the company released its first computer model 25 years ago. Yes, the Mac is 25 years-old, still young for a human being, but for a computer brand it could be considered as the beginning of wisdom.
So, let's wish that Apple will continue to release hardware and software which contribute to make IT different and accessible to most users, making our perception of IT "different", turning a tool into a toy to help us to be efficient and creative.
Intego published an alert about a Trojan found in pirate copies of iWork 09 and currently distributed on P2P network. The Trojan entitled "OSX.Trojan.iServices.A" is installed and activated during iWork installation procedure and located in /System/Library/StartupItems/iWorkServices/"

This Trojan is designed to launch massive attacks on servers by sending an overload of requests.
Securemac is already offering a free tool to remove the Trojan and can be downloaded at the following address:
iWorkServicesTrojanRemovalTool.dmg.
You can also perform the same function by following this procedure:
1) Open the terminal
2) sudo su
admin password
3) killall -9 iWorkServices
4) rm -r /System/Library/StartupItems/iWorkServices
5) rm /private/tmp/.iWorkServices
6) rm /usr/bin/iWorkServices
7) rm -r /Library/Receipts/iWorkServices.pkg
That's it, but remember it is easier and much safer to simply purchase iWork 09 from the
Apple Store
