Intel to Release Faster Core 2 Duo before Nehalem

According to the French IT website TT-Hardware, Intel might offer a small speed bump for its current Centrino 2 platform before the transition to Nehalem currently planned to take place during H2 2009. Despite some changes among the chipset family for which we should care as Apple is now using NVidia solutions, Intel could release higher clocked Core 2 Duo CPUs, with some models reaching or breaking the 3 GHz barrier.
This introduction should maintain sales or become the entry-level platform when the Nehalem platform will be released.
