According to their notes, this technology makes it possible to push the rate of data transmission to 1 Gbit/s (600 Mbits/s of effective data). To arrive at this result, they multiplied the number of antennas and channels.
This technology is derived from the 802.11n and remains completely compatible with it. Alas,in order to become a standard, it will remain confined to the makers that want to use it, whereas the number of antennas needed (at least 4) will complicate its integration into portables or USB keys.
