[update]
We have spent a lot of time to discuss and help our visitors to fix some software and hardware problems. However, we had some times to discuss with WMware and Realmac Software representatives, about current and news projects. News to come soon.
As expected, Sandisk reacted forcefully against the hostile tender offer by Samsung. The suggested price is much too low and does not reflect the actual value of the company, but Samsung does not seem worried and reiterated its offer without any changes.
But its competitors fear this acquisition and will try to complicate it. Thus, Toshiba announced that it does not wish to repurchase Sandisk, but to move closer in order to create a strategic partnership. The goal of this advertisement is to reassure the markets on the future of an independent Sandisk and to increase the price of the company stock making it larger to swallow for Samsung.
Seagate has not reacted yet to this offer. It would be surprising if they also do not try to attack, Sandisk remaining their best entry ticket to the world of the SSD.

According to a recent study conducted by Displaysearch, Apple market share for notebook in USA now reached 10.8 % for the 2008 Q2. Apple captured the fourth position behind Dell, HP and Acer, but in front of Toshiba.
This is a quite impressive increase for Apple as its market share a year ago was 6.6 %. However, such good results do not apply worldwide , and Apple is not ranked in the first 5 top position for EMEA zone. Apple might maybe think of changing its rather ridiculous currency rate between US$ and Euro in order to avoid having the rest of the word to pay for having Apple hardware to be priced so aggressively in USA.
