Google Chrome on Mac OS X via Wine

CodeWeavers, well known for its commercial solution of Wine (CrossOver), that allows one to run Windows applications on Linux and Mac OS X without the Windows OS, wants to prove that Wine is a viable option for developers who want to enter markets outside Windows. They offer little, just a Wine version of Google Chromium , the open source project that serves as the basis for Google Chrome. Therefore, one would have no need to launch virtualization software, or restart under Boot Camp to finally test the latest popular Internet browser to hit the landscape.
Again, CodeWeavers merely simplified what was already possible with the help of a
large hack with Wine, but still they have the merit to offer simple package, installed by just a double-click.
You should know that the native version of Google Chrome for Mac is non-existent for the moment; that no version, even alpha Chromium can not be compiled for the Mac. But in a few months, Google hopes to offer more than just a port of the Windows version, incorporating modern technologies of Mac OS X.
