IBM announced to have produced the first SRAM chips engraved at 22-nm. If such product will not be commercially available, it demonstrates that IBM has the technology to reach such a low engraving process. Indeed, this is a step further than the current Intel's roadmap, with 32-nm engraving to be introduced in 2009, before being applied to the entire CPU models.
