- Apple disappointed by the sales of the iPhone in Europe - Lionel - 09:01:50

Source : MacGeneration

Even though we have often spoken about the disappointing sales of iPhone in Europe, we did not know the official position of Apple who preferred to communicate only about the more flattering total figures.
However we now know from the words of Pascal Cagni, DG of Apple Europe that the company expected something better, since he acknowledges being personally disappointed.

At the end of all that has been said, it certainly missed a more specific official communication in Europe. It is a pity, for example, that Apple Europe did not seek to fight against the campaigns of misinformation that condemned the apparatus due to the absence of 3G or its irremovable battery whereas it is known that these two elements were not so important in the daily use of the iPhone.
But the fault does not only lie with Apple Europe. The operators, and in particular Orange played a strange double game, praising themselves to have gained the exclusive market while refusing to communicate on it.
Perhaps they had very quickly understood that a failure of the sales would return the power to them that Apple had taken away.
