- New on Apple Store: Apple TV2 - Lionel - 20:41:17

Steve spent quite some time to introduce the Apple TV2 and its features among them, audio 5:1, direct access to iTS to rent or purchase video and music, etc.
Apple has simply updated the current model to make it compatible with its new VOD offer, and finally fully functional as a stand alone product.
For once, Apple listened to customers and related comments and criticisms about the first Apple TV.
Tank you Apple.

- First Images of MacBook Air? - Eric - 15:03:42

Source : Wired

Wired claimed to have received information on the coming MacBook Air, and decided to publish them:

As the current iMac models, the MacBook Air would be made off Alu and glass, and would be very thin; so thin that Apple would not have space to add an Ethernet port, leaving only Wi-Fi or other wireless network protocols to communicate (might communicate via FireWire if available).
This would imply that Apple would have rewritten Mac OS X to allow booting without the Ethernet address required by the system.
Last but not least, if the MacBook Air is real, its thickness could indeed allow it to be inserted in an iMac-derived docking station as illustrated recently in an Apple's patent... a sexy solution for users on the move… So SSD as storage space? Intriguing…
Stay tune, only couple of hours to go anyway to determine if it is true and a nice fake.

- Dreamworks on iTunes Store - Lionel - 10:05:01

As rumored by Tuaw yesterday, we obtained confirmation today from our sources that DreamWorks will be offering VOD on iTunes Store. Other studios should also be available.
Fan of cartoons and animation movies will be happy with both DreamWorks and Disney catalogs on iTS, for direct online purchase or renting.
If we do not have details about the quality of the movies for the VOD offer, we suspect that Apple will at least release 720p format, to offer a higher quality than the DVD and potentially to join the high-definition war between BD and HD-DVD...
