First Appearances of Penryn Mobile

The site Coolaler managed to get their hands on what appears to be a prototype mobile Core 2 Duo-based architecture Penryn.


This model clocked at 2.8 GHz is at the highest rating. It has 6 MB cache in total. Two others at 2.5 and 2.6 GHz feature identical cache size. However, the 2.1 and 2.4 GHz versions will come with half L2 cache.
These products are scheduled for the beginning 2008, and possibly, Apple refreshes its range of MacBook Pro at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco with these.

Black Friday : Arrived and Departed ...

Like last year, Apple is offering a guide to shop online with special rates throughout the day, in anticipation of the festive season.

The
Store featured reductions from 5% to 10% on most items. For example -51EUR on MacBooks and iMacs, -11EUR on iPods nano and shuffle -21EUR on the iPod classic.

Dailymotion on the iPhone

Dailymotion is offering a similar service as that of YouTube.
Perhaps this move was motivated by the large sales and publicity generated by these devices, Dailymotion offers a special web page devoted to mobile Apple.
One can access the site by using Safari. The navigation on the site is very similar to that of YouTube (on the iPhone & iPod Touch).

VLC 0.8.6d available

VLC v0.8.6d is now available. This new version fixes bugs and provides better support for Mac OS X 10.5.
