Recall the rumor of Hitachi HD Division? That was squash with Hitachi unveiling low power consumption 3.5" HDs. Instead, it turns out that ...

"Hitachi is pulling out of the sale of personal computers, saying it wants to focus on larger network systems for businesses instead."

Personally, I think it is a brilliant decision. They can now focus a little more effort on churning out even better HDs.
p.s. I'm not sure about you, but I certainly did not know that Hitachi actually manufactures PCs.
